Official Korean permit data

SelectBNBs uses API access issued by Korea's Public Data Portal to retrieve accommodation permit records published by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Each result includes its government dataset and record update time.

What the check does

From a listing registration block to an official permit record

Korean booking listings may show a local permit number, business category, issuing region, registered name, or management number. The strongest results come from pasting the full block rather than one short number.

Use the registration block from Airbnb or another booking page. A property name or road address helps distinguish short local numbers that can repeat.

Search official datasets

SelectBNBs checks eight accommodation permit categories from Korea's Public Data Portal and returns the matching government source.

Compare the record

The result shows the registered business, permit category, operating status, address, permit date, management number, and source update time when available.

Two answers stay separate. The government record tells you whether a permit exists and its reported operating status. The listing match tells you whether the details supplied identify that same registered business.

How can I tell whether a Korean Airbnb is legal?

Find the registration details on the listing and search the full block here. An active government record confirms the registered business and permit category. Check the separate listing-match result before treating that permit as belonging to the booking page.

What does the registration block on a booking listing mean?

It is listing-supplied information such as the issuing region, permit category, local number, registered name, or management number. The block is useful evidence, but it is not itself confirmation from the central government feed.

What is a rural homestay permit?

Rural homestay, 농어촌민박업, is one of the accommodation categories published in Korea's LOCALDATA permit feed. A found record reports the business's official status; category-specific operating conditions may still apply.

Why does a short permit number fail to match?

Short local numbers can repeat and the central feed is keyed by a longer management number. Add the registered business name or road address, or paste the entire registration block, to distinguish the record.
