(No visitors other than the reserved number of guests)• Absolutely no smoking in all areas as it is a hanok wooden building and is vulnerable to fire. In case of violation, fire alarm operation and special cleaning fee (300,000 KRW) may be charged, and in some cases, you may be taken out of the room without a refund.• If you receive a surrounding complaint due to excessive noise, or if you disturb your neighbors due to loud singing due to drinking, you may be forced to leave immediately, and in this case, a refund is absolutely not possible.• In case of malfunction due to inexperienced use of electronic devices and damage to furniture, items in the room, reimbursement will be charged. You may be charged an additional fee if you check out without notifying your host.• Bathing agent except salt in the bathtub due to drainage issues (ex. Booking Tips
- Stayfolio has the widest curated selection. Butler Lee manages 40+ hanoks and offers hands-on property matching. Airbnb covers most but not all listings.
- Book 3–4 weeks ahead for April (cherry blossom) and October (fall foliage). Hanoks are small and fill fast.
- Most Seoul hanoks sleep 2–4. For groups of 5+, target Muwolgwan (10-guest) or The Chae: Courtyard (10-guest).
- Ondol (heated floors) is standard. Traditional hanoks use floor bedding; renovated hanoks often have beds. Confirm before booking.
- Rakkojae is the top tier: tea ceremony, hanbok, cultural programming included.
